Cookie Policy

The Site may use a technology called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files containing information that are saved on your computer by the webpage that you are visiting. They are used to help provide additional functionality to the Site and to help us analyze Site usage. There are two kinds of cookies:

Persistent cookie: This kind of cookie is used for "remembering" information such as your username and password and is stored for a specific period of time or on your computer for as long as you decide to not "log out" of this subscription service. If you don't use the function "Don't ask for my username and password in the future" such cookies will never be stored on your computer.

Session cookie: This kind of cookie is used to keep track of, for example, which language you have chosen on the webpage. During the time you visit a site, such cookies are saved temporarily in the memory of your computer. A session cookie is not stored for a long time on your computer and usually disappears when you close your web browser. By using such cookies, Husqvarna Australia Pty Ltd hopes to better target relevant information to our visitors.

We categorize our cookies by:

  • Functional: provide basic site functionality, such as remembering the contents of your wish list;
  • Performance: measure the performance of our sites in order to enable technical and design optimization;
  • Advertising: measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to target advertising and promotions;
  • Social sharing: enable sharing functionality for social networks; and
  • Social media: track social media and other Web browsing behavior.

Provides information about the effectiveness of our Facebook ads and allows us to target our ad campaigns to users who interact with our websites and users with similar interests or profiles. The pixel base code tracks activity on our website (collecting information such as IP addresses, web browser information, page location, pixel ID and information of any buttons clicked when visiting our sites), providing a baseline for measuring specific events. By measuring events we have the ability to capture website traffic and let Facebook use that as a basis to create audiences on Facebook that we can use for targeting purposes.  Hot Jar  _hjClosedSurveyInvites 365 days   Performance  Hotjar cookie. This cookie is set once a visitor interacts with a Survey invitation modal popup. It is used to ensure that the same invite does not re-appear if it has already been shown.
 Hot Jar _hjDonePolls   365 days  Performance  Hotjar cookie. This cookie is set once a visitor completes a poll using the Feedback Poll widget. It is used to ensure that the same poll does not re-appear if it has already been filled in.
Hot Jar   _hjMinimizedPolls 365 days   Performance  Hotjar cookie. This cookie is set once a visitor minimizes a Feedback Poll widget. It is used to ensure that the widget stays minimizes when the visitor navigates through your site.
 Hot Jar  _hjDoneTestersWidgets  365 days  Performance  Hotjar cookie. This cookie is set once a visitor submits their information in the Recruit User Testers widget. It is used to ensure that the same form does not re-appear if it has already been filled in.

 Hot Jar  _hjShownFeedbackMessage  365 days  Performance  This cookie is set when a visitor minimizes or completes Incoming Feedback. This is done so that the Incoming Feedback will load as minimized immediately if they navigate to another page where it is set to show.
Hot Jar   _hjid 365 days   Performance  Hotjar cookie. This cookie is set when the customer first lands on a page with the Hotjar script. It is used to persist the Hotjar User ID, unique to that site on the browser. This ensures that behavior in subsequent visits to the same site will be attributed to the same user ID.
 Hot Jar  _hjRecordingLastActivity  Session  Performance  This should be found in sessionStorage (as opposed to cookies). This gets updated when a visitor recording starts and when data is sent through the WebSocket (the visitor performs an action that Hotjar records).
 Hot Jar  hjTLDTest  Session  Performance  When the Hotjar script executes we try to determine the most generic cookie path we should use, instead of the page hostname. This is done so that cookies can be shared across subdomains (where applicable). To determine this, we try to store the _hjTLDTest cookie for different URL substring alternatives until it fails. After this check, the cookie is removed.
 Hot Jar  _hjUserAttributesHash Session   Performance  User Attributes sent through the Hotjar Identify API are cached for the duration of the session in order to know when an attribute has changed and needs to be updated.
Hot Jar   _hjCachedUserAttributes Session   Performance  This cookie stores User Attributes which are sent through the Hotjar Identify API, whenever the user is not in the sample. These attributes will only be saved if the user interacts with a Hotjar Feedback tool.
 Hot Jar  _hjLocalStorageTest N/A   Performance  This cookie is used to check if the Hotjar Tracking Script can use local storage. If it can, a value of 1 is set in this cookie. The data stored in_hjLocalStorageTest has no expiration time, but it is deleted immediately after creating it so the expected storage time is under 100ms.
 Hot Jar  _hjAbsoluteSessionInProgress  30 mins  Performance  The cookie is set so Hotjar can track the beginning of the user's journey for a total session count. It does not contain any identifiable information.

Husqvarna Australia Pty Ltd also uses Google Analytics cookies to allow them to identify certain demographical information for marketing purposes. Users remain anonymous to Husqvarna who receive selected information from the supplier to help them target market activities more efficiently. The Client ID anonymously identifies visitors between multiple sessions and is stored for 26 months before deletion.

If you do not wish to accept Husqvarna Australia Pty Ltd's use of cookies, most browsers allow you to configure your browser to reject cookies by modifying your browser settings. However, this might limit functionality and your benefit of the Site.
