How to change to a terrain kit on your Husqvarna Automower® 400-series

When it’s slippery, or if you have slopes on your lawn, our terrain kit helps your Automower® to perform. This easy guide shows you how you can easily switch to a terrain kit. If you have an Automower® 300-series go here for instructions:

Checklist for mounting a terrain kit:

  1. Turn the Automower® upside down
  2. Put a flatbed screwdriver under the wheel cap and bend it outwards to remove it
  3. Use a socket wrench to loosen the nut
  4. Remove the tyre
  5. Place the square nut in the plastic slot
  6. Put the brush holder in place and screw it tight. Note that there is one brush holder for the left side (L) and one for the right side (R).
  7. Place the brush in the second brush holder and attach it with the hex key.
  8. Put the terrain kit wheel in place
  9. Place the washer and nut in place, and tighten it with the socket wrench
  10. Reattach the wheel cap
