Cleaning a cooling system on a leaf blower

To keep a leaf blower in a good condition, make sure to clean the cooling system.

Clean the cooling system once a week or more often if you work in dusty conditions.

A dirty or clogged cooling system can cause a leaf blower to overheat.

For this you will need: 

  • protective gloves 
  • cleaning brush

The parts of a cooling system are:

  • the air intake on a starter 
  • the cooling fins on a cylinder 
  • the cylinder cover 

How to clean a cooling system on a leaf blower

  1. Clean the cooling system with a brush once a week or more frequently if necessary.
  2. Make sure that the cooling system is not dirty or blocked.
