Maintenance for a brushcutter

For your brushcutter to work in an optimal way, maintenance needs to be performed after set intervals. Some maintenance can be performed easily, and some needs to be done by an authorized dealer.

Maintenance for a petrol-powered brushcutter

Weekly maintenance
  • Clean the external surfaces.
  • Examine the idle speed.
  • Examine the bevel gear grease.
  • Examine the locknut.
Monthly maintenance
  • Examine the starter rope handle and the starter rope.
Yearly maintenance
50 hours maintenance
  • Have an approved service centre repair or replace the muffler.

Maintenance for a battery-powered brushcutter

WARNING: Remove the battery before you do any maintenance.

Daily maintenance
  • Clean the external parts of the product with a dry cloth. Do not use water.
  • Examine that the start and stop buttons work correctly and that they are not damaged.
  • Make sure that the power trigger and the power trigger lockout function correctly from a safety point of view.
  • Make sure that all controls work and are not damaged.
  • Keep the handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
  • Make sure that the cutting attachment is not damaged. Replace if damaged.
  • Make sure that the screws and nuts are tight.
  • Make sure that the battery release button on the battery works and locks the battery in the product.
  • Examine that the battery charger is not damaged and functions correctly.
  • Make sure that the battery is not damaged.
  • Make sure that the battery is charged.
Weekly maintenance
  • Examine all cables, couplings and connections. Make sure they are not damaged or dirty.
  • Make sure that the bevel gear is correctly filled with grease.
  • Make sure that the air intake of the motor is not dirty. Clean the air intake with compressed air.
Yearly maintenance
  • Do a check of the connections between the battery and the product. 
  • Make sure that the safety release on the harness is not damaged and operates correctly.
