Maintenance for a lawn mower

For your lawn mower to work in optimal conditions. there needs to be maintenance performed after set intervals. Some maintenance can be performed easily, and some needs to be done by the authorized local dealer.

Maintenance for a petrol-powered lawn mower

CAUTION: Make sure that the air filter is up and not against the ground when you tilt the product. Risk of engine damage.

CAUTION: For models with an electric start, remove the battery before you do maintenance, repairs, or clean the product.

Daily maintenance
  • Do a general inspection by making sure that the nuts and screws on the product are tightened as well as the cables are not in a position where they can be damaged. Also, make sure that there are no leaks.
  • Examine the oil level.

  • Examine the cutting equipment.
  • Examine the cutting cover.
  • Examine the engine break handle.
  • Examine the air filter.

Maintenance for a battery-powered lawn mower

WARNING: To prevent accidental start, turn the safety key to 0, remove the battery and wait a minimum of 5 seconds.

WARNING: Use protective gloves when you do maintenance on the cutting equipment. The blades are very sharp and cuts can easily occur.

Each use maintenance
  • Do a general inspection by making sure that the nuts and screws on the product are tightened as well as well as the cables are not in a position where they can be damaged.

  • Do a check of the start inhibitor. 
  • Make sure that the safety devices on the product are not defective.

  • Examine the cutting cover.
  • Do a check of the battery charge.
  • Make sure that the release buttons on the battery operates correctly and that the battery locks into the product.
Monthly maintenance 
  • Examine the battery charger for damage and make sure that it operates correctly.
Seasonal maintenance
  • Examine the connections between the battery and the product. Also, examine the connection between the battery and the battery charger.
