Q&A

When and how is Husqvarna Fleet machine sensor data uploaded to Husqvarna Fleet Services™?

When a machine with a Husqvarna Fleet machine sensor gets close to a Husqvarna Fleet Services™ device, the data on the machine sensor is uploaded to the backend and then updated in the Husqvarna Fleet Services system.

Data upload in the field

When a machine with a Husqvarna Fleet machine sensor gets close to a device with the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ mobile app open, all data on the machine sensor is uploaded to the backend and then updated in the Husqvarna Fleet Services system.

Note that if you have your phone (with the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ mobile app installed) in your pocket, and quickly walk past one of your machines, you may not be connected to the machine long enough for all data to be uploaded. It is therefore possible that the position data gets updated and not the usage data (as the sensor may need more time to upload all usage data).

Data upload in machine inventory

When you return your products to the machine inventory and the machines get close to the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ gateway, all data on the machine sensor is uploaded to the backend and then updated in the Husqvarna Fleet Services system.

Note, that it may take some time before all machine data has been uploaded, especially if many machines are uploading data at the same time.

Sensor data storage

If a Husqvarna Fleet machine sensor does not upload data for a certain period of time, the data is stored on the sensor. For example, 3–4 weeks of usage data can be stored on the sensor, if the machine is used 8 hours/day.

Can I track my equipment in real-time?

The sensors do not provide live GPS tracking. The location captured by the system is always the last known position, as seen by any of the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ apps. The GPS position of the machine comes from the smartphone’s last sensor connection, and not from the sensor itself.

When can I see the uploaded data in the app?

For petrol products, it can take up to 30 seconds after you turn off the machine before you can see the machine in the app. All data from when the machine has been running will then be uploaded.

For battery products, it can take up to 15 minutes after you turn off the machine before you can see the machine in the app. Data is uploaded every 15 minutes while you are using the machine.
