Husqvarna will once again be participating with our competitors using the 576 XP, 572 XP and 372 XP championship chainsaws to compete in their challenges!
As always, the WLC will be divided into different individual disciplines plus the exciting team relay race, which are inspired by the same procedures as the professionals exercise in their everyday work. These include tree felling, fitting another chain, bucking by combined cuts, precision bucking and limbing.
Join us for three days of competition to crown this year’s Logging Champions of the World.
In the recent 2016 World Logging Championships (WLC), four loggers who used Husqvarna chainsaws set one world record in tree felling, and won four gold medals. The medals were won by loggers representing the Netherlands, France, Estonia and United Kingdom.
WLC, the World Logging Championship, is arranged every two years when professional elite loggers from around the world compete in five different events: precision felling, changing saw chain, precision sawing with two different methods and limbing.
Lars is a multiple medalist at World Logging Championships (WLC) and has more than 30 years of experience in logging. With such expertise, it’s no wonder he is Team Husqvarna’s 2016 WLC coach.
Anton is part of the team of competitors who are under 24 years of age. See what he has to say about his chances at this year’s World Logging Championships (WLC).
Tagging along with professionals as they test Husqvarna products in real environments is the most exciting way to see if our efforts have paid off. In the case of the new X-Cut saw chain, however, the excitement may have been mixed with a certain nervousness on the part of the test managers. Would this wholly new product for Husqvarna gain the acceptance of hard-working loggers and arborists?
For the first time, there are original Husqvarna saw chains, and they are made where it all once started – in Huskvarna, Sweden. Why, you might wonder. Well, the story actually starts at the end. Through all our research and development, making your output the highest possible has been the overarching goal.
The Husqvarna X-Cut is the world’s first original Husqvarna saw chain. It’s designed for a single purpose: to optimize the performance of your Husqvarna chainsaw – and thereby maximize your output. This is how it works.
If you want to get the most out of your chainsaw, it’s important that you choose the saw chain that is exactly right. Here are a few things to keep in mind.
The Husqvarna 560 XP chainsaw is developed for professionals who want to work with the best possible in power and efficiency – and stay safe while doing it. Here are some of the innovative solutions that make it possible for this machine to better your business.
Looking to prune bushes, or to cut down trees? When buying a new chainsaw the most important thing to consider is how you will use it.
Families trapped in their homes. Trees coming straight at you while working. As a firefighter in frequently storm-hit Mississippi, Woodman Speights has plenty of experience of working with chainsaws in tough conditions. Like the dangerous task of storm cleanup – something that should only be done by trained professionals. “I’ve seen some serious damage,” he says.
Remember when you were a child and climbed trees? Some people keep climbing and become arborists. And some of them become the best in the world. One of those super pros is Kiah Martin, a world champion winning arborist based in Melbourne. This is her story.
The forest is too valuable not to be thought of from a long perspective. Because of this, tree care and nature conservation not only should – but also must – be a part of modern forestry.
Things move quickly when a team is felling trees and cutting branches along a power line corridor. It's a tough job that requires high precision at all times. Gerry Breton, Safety Director at Lucas Tree Experts, decided at an early stage to invest in Husqvarna saws with the unique chain brake TrioBrake. It proved to be a profitable investment. Chainsaw user Bill Raleigh and his colleagues are now working smarter – using better working techniques and working more safely and ergonomically.
It's a warm, dry, remote location high in the mountains. Big trees are felled here at a rapid rate on the steep slopes. It's a tough environment that makes great demands on both the loggers and their machines. Jaime Wagenfuhr and his son Graham are enjoying every minute. Using chainsaws with the self-adjusting carburettor AutoTune allows them to work unhindered and efficiently – at all altitudes and at all temperatures.
