Q&A

How does Husqvarna Fleet Services™ work?

Machine storage

Husqvarna Fleet Services™ is a professional service that helps you keep track of your equipment using machine sensors and built-in connectivity. You can use the service to keep track of any type of machine, for example, chainsaws, robotic lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers. Connected to Husqvarna Fleet Services™, you will always know where your machines are*, how much they have been used and when they need to be serviced or replaced.

All your data is safely stored in the cloud in your organization’s Husqvarna Fleet Services™ account, so you can access it from anywhere.

How do I sign up for Husqvarna Fleet Services™?

Husqvarna Fleet Services™ machine sensor

Husqvarna Fleet Services™ machine sensor

Attach a machine sensor to a piece of equipment to keep track of its use and last known position*. The data is stored in the sensor’s built-in memory and is transmitted via Bluetooth to the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ app, out in the field, or to the Husqvarna Fleet Gateway app once it’s back in the inventory. As an example, about 3–4 weeks of usage data can be saved on the sensor if the machine is used 8 hours/day.

Husqvarna machines with an embedded Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) sensor are Husqvarna Fleet Services™ ready. That means that you do not need to order and install a Husqvarna Fleet Services™ machine sensor. Instead, you simply add the product to your account and activate the embedded sensor on your product.

No external sensor is needed for Automower® models in the 500 or X-line series or Automower® units equipped with an Automower® Connect kit. Instead, they have built-in connectivity and GPS. This allows you to track their position and status, get notifications, and change settings – all in real-time on your phone, tablet, or laptop.

How to install a Husqvarna Fleet machine sensor for use with Husqvarna Fleet Services™.

Husqvarna Fleet Services™ mobile app

Husqvarna Fleet Services™ mobile app

The Husqvarna Fleet Services™ mobile app collects all equipment data via Bluetooth once the machines are within a range of 0–100 m/109 yd (0-30 m/32 yd with obstructed visibility) from your mobile device. The actual results may vary depending on several factors. The app gives you and your colleagues easy access to your data and the last known location of your machines. The data is uploaded to your account from wherever you are, provided that the device has internet connectivity. The mobile app is available for iOS and Android.

Husqvarna Fleet Services™ Gateway app

The Husqvarna Fleet Services™ Gateway app is the “at home” solution that transfers the collected data from the sensors via Bluetooth and uploads it to your account. Install the gateway device in your storage to upload the data and make sure all equipment has been properly checked in once the workday is finished. The gateway app is only available for Android.

What is a Husqvarna Fleet Services™ gateway and how do I set it up?

As soon as the data has been uploaded to your account, you can instantly access it through the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ web interface from your computer or tablet. All your data is safely stored in the cloud in your organization’s Husqvarna Fleet Services™ account, so you can access it from anywhere.

Data collection

The data from your equipment is transmitted to Husqvarna Fleet Services™ thru the gateway or Husqvarna Fleet Services™ app using Bluetooth (unless it is an Automower® robotic mower – then the mobile network is used instead). Data can be collected in two ways, either in the field or back at the workshop.

  • Back at the workshop – using Husqvarna Fleet Services™ Gateway app
If you have an Android device with the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ Gateway app always running in the workshop, all captured data will be uploaded automatically when the machines are returned for storage after a shift.
  • In the field – using Husqvarna Fleet Services™ mobile app
When you are on a job and turn off the equipment, either for a break or to stop working for the day, all new machine data can easily be collected. All you have to do is log in to the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ app on your phone, and all data is automatically uploaded to your account.

Combining the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ gateway and the mobile app means that your cloud-based account always has up-to-date machine data, which is easily accessible from any device.

When and how is Husqvarna Fleet machine sensor data uploaded to Husqvarna Fleet Services™?

*The sensor does not provide the location by itself but is dependent on the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ mobile or gateway app.
