How to clean a petrol lawn mower

In order to keep your lawn mower in good condition, make sure that you clean it after every use.

Also, check if your product is clean before using it.

    Cleaning the lawn mower deck

    Issues that may be caused by a dirty lawn mower deck:

    • Poor cutting results
    • Higher energy consumption

    Cleaning a petrol lawn mower

    WARNING: To prevent accidental starts, remove the ignition cable from the spark plug.

    1. Remove and empty the collector and the mulch plug if the lawn mower is equipped with them.
    2. If your lawn mower is equipped with a chute, make sure that the chute is clear of debris, dirt and grass.
    3. Empty the fuel tank.
    4. Put the product on its side and make sure that the air intakes on the engine are not blocked.
    5. Use a brush to remove leaves, grass and dirt.
    6. If needed, gently hose down the inner surface of the cutting cover with water. Do not use a high-pressure washer to clean the product.
      CAUTION: Make sure that the product is dry before using it.

    Cleaning a lawn mower externally

    Cleaning:

    • Use a brush to remove leaves, grass and dirt.
    • Make sure that the air intake on top of the engine is not blocked.
    • Do not use a high-pressure washer to clean the product.
    • If using water to clean the product, do not flush water directly on the engine.
