How to replace a fuel filter on a garden tractor

To keep your Husqvarna garden tractor in good condition, make sure that the fuel filter is working properly.

If the fuel filter is damaged, there can be issues with starting your garden tractor or experiencing loss of power while using the product.

For this you will need:

  • Flat pliers
  • gloves
  • A new fuel filter

Changing a fuel filter on a garden tractor

  1. Turn off the product.
  2. Close the fuel shut-off valve.
  3. Compress the fuel tank hose to prevent leakage.
  4. Move the hose clips away from the fuel filter with pliers.
  5. Pull the fuel filter from the hose ends. A small quantity of fuel may leak.
  6. Push the new fuel filter into the hose ends. 
  7. Push the hose clip against the fuel filter.
