There can be many instances in which your ride-on mower will not start. The reasons for this can vary, depending on the type of ride-on mower or the state of the battery as well as the temperature.
Battery-powered ride-on mower
Sleep mode
Sleep mode is a state for your ride-on mower's battery that occurs when the product is not used and the battery charge is lower than 40%. Sleep mode prevents the battery from draining completely.
To start your product from sleep mode:
- hold the START button for 10 seconds
- connect the ride-on mower to the charger
If this does not work, charge the product for 48 hours. This will "wake up" the ride-on mower.
P-break is in the wrong position
When trying to turn on your ride-on mower, you may encounter this symbol.
If the P-break, or the lock to the electric parking brake system, is in the wrong position, you will not be able to start your product.
In this case, release the lock to the electric parking brake system and move the lever to the left position to disengage the electric parking brake system.
Charger is connected to the ride-on mower
When you have finished charging your product's battery, be sure to unplug the charger from the ride-on mower. Otherwise, it will not start.
Activated cutting deck
If the cutting deck is activated on your product, it will not start for safety reasons. Lift the cutting deck and turn on the ride-on mower in the usual way.
Low battery charge
If the battery is not charged enough (yellow stripes on the battery display), the ride-on mower will not start. Charge your product, disconnect it from the charger and turn it on in the usual way.
