How to add an Automower® robotic lawn mower to Automower® Connect

The Automower® Connect app gives you full control of your robotic lawn mower straight from your mobile device. With the app you can start, stop or park your mower, check and adjust its settings, and much more.

Get started by downloading the app, creating an account and adding your robotic lawn mowers to the app.

Download the Automower® Connect app

Available for both iOS and Android devices, you can find the app in your usual app download locations: Google Play | App Store.

Create a Husqvarna account

It is not necessary to have an account to use the Automower® Connect app to control your Automower® robotic lawn mower, but it brings many benefits. To create a Husqvarna account:

  1. Open the Automower® Connect app.
  2. Tap Sign up to create a new account.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Add an Automower® robotic lawn mower to your account

  1. Open the Automower® Connect app.
  2. Select Log in and enter your account credentials.
  3. If this is the first mower you add, select Add Automower®. Otherwise, select More > My Mowers and tap the plus (+) sign.
  4. Select your mower model.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your device with your mower.

Connect your mower

Automower® robotic lawn mowers use different technology to connect to the Automower® Connect app. Depending on model, your robotic lawn mower will support one or more of the below technologies.

Mobile connection

A cellular connection allows you to connect your robotic lawn mower to the Automower® Connect app, allowing you to control the mower from anywhere at anytime (when the mower has cellular coverage). You can also receive push notifications and alarms and track your mower's position in the event of theft.

Bluetooth connection

Also known as Automower® Connect@Home, this option allows you to connect to the Automower® Connect app to control the mower when you are within Bluetooth range (5 metres/16 feet from the mower).

Wi-Fi connection

A Wi-Fi connection enables your robotic lawn mower to connect to the Automower® Connect app, allowing you to control the mower from anywhere at anytime (when the mower has Wi-Fi coverage). Follow our Step-by-step instructions for adding a Wi-Fi network.

Main differences 

Many features are exactly the same in the Automower® Connect app, no matter how you connect to the mower. But there are some important differences. Below is an overview of the main features that differ.

Temporary connection (Automower® Direct)

All Automower® robotic lawn mowers (produced 2018 or later, except Automower® model 105) can be connected using a temporary connection. This connection is established using Bluetooth and the login option Automower® Direct. This option requires the Automower® Connect app, but it does not require being logged in to an account. You have to enter the mower PIN code and establish a new connection every time you want to access or control the mower using your mobile device.

  1. Ensure that location services and Bluetooth are enabled on your mobile device. See Enable location services and Bluetooth access.
  2. Open the Automower® Connect app.
  3. Select Automower® Direct and follow the on-screen instructions.


 

How many mowers can I add to Automower® Connect?

You can add any number of Automower® robotic lawn mowers to your Automower® Connect app. If you have a whole fleet of robotic lawn mowers, you get an even better overview and control of your mowers using Husqvarna Fleet Services.
