Q&A

What is Husqvarna Fleet Services™?

Machine storage

Husqvarna Fleet Services™ is a professional service that helps you monitor your equipment effectively. With machine sensors and built-in connectivity, you can keep track of various types of machines, including chainsaws, robotic lawn mowers, hedge trimmers and leaf blowers. By connecting to Husqvarna Fleet Services™, you gain real-time insights into where your machines are, how much they have been used and when they need servicing or replacement.

Key elements of Husqvarna Fleet Services™

Husqvarna Fleet Services™ account

Your organisation’s Husqvarna Fleet Services™ account securely stores all of your data in the cloud, allowing you to access it from anywhere at any time.

How do I sign up for Husqvarna Fleet Services™?

Husqvarna Fleet Services™ machine sensor

Husqvarna Fleet Services™ machine sensor

Mount the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ machine sensor to a piece of equipment to monitor its use and last known location. The sensor’s built-in memory stores the data, which is then transmitted via Bluetooth to the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ app in the field, or to the Husqvarna Fleet Gateway app once it’s back with the rest of the fleet. For instance, if a machine is used for 8 hours a day, about 3–4 weeks of usage data can be stored on the sensor. Please note that the sensor itself does not provide the location but is dependent on the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ mobile or Gateway app.

How to install a Husqvarna Fleet machine sensor for use with Husqvarna Fleet Services™.

Husqvarna machines with embedded sensors

Certain Husqvarna machines come with an embedded Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) sensor, making them Husqvarna Fleet Services™-ready. This means that you don’t need to order and install a separate Husqvarna Fleet Services™ machine sensor. Simply add the product to your account and activate the embedded sensor on your product.

Automower® models

Automower® models in the 500 or X-line series, or models equipped with an Automower® Connect kit, don’t require an external sensor. They come with built-in connectivity and GPS, enabling you to track their position and status, receive notifications and change settings—all in real time on your phone, tablet or laptop.

Husqvarna Fleet Services™ mobile app

The Husqvarna Fleet Services™ mobile app collects all equipment data via Bluetooth once the machines are within a range of 0–100 m/109 yd (0-30 m/32 yd with obstructed visibility) from your mobile device. The app gives you and your colleagues easy access to your data and the last known location of your machines. The data is uploaded to your account from wherever you are, provided that the device has Internet connectivity. The mobile app is available for iOS and Android.

Husqvarna Fleet Services™ Gateway app

The Husqvarna Fleet Services™ Gateway app is an at-home solution that transfers the collected data from the sensors via Bluetooth and uploads it to your account. By installing the gateway device wherever you store your equipment, you can upload the data and ensure that all equipment has been properly checked in once the workday is finished. Please note, the gateway app is only available for Android.

Once the data has been uploaded to your account, you can instantly access it via the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ web interface from your computer or tablet. All your data is safely stored in the cloud in your organisation’s Husqvarna Fleet Services™ account, so you can access it from anywhere.

Data collection

The data from your equipment is transmitted to Husqvarna Fleet Services™ using the gateway or Husqvarna Fleet Services™ app via Bluetooth (unless it is an Automower® robotic mower—then the mobile network is used instead). Data can be collected in two ways, either in the field or back at the workshop.

  • Back at the workshop—using Husqvarna Fleet Services™ Gateway app
If you have an Android device with the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ Gateway app always running in the workshop, all captured data will be uploaded automatically when the machines are returned to storage after a shift.
  • In the field—using Husqvarna Fleet Services™ mobile app
When you are on a job and turn off the equipment, either for a break or to stop working for the day, all new machine data can easily be collected. All you have to do is log in to the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ app on your phone, and all data is automatically uploaded to your account.

By combining the Husqvarna Fleet Services™ gateway and the mobile app, your cloud-based account always has up-to-date machine data, which is easily accessible from any device.
